Living life out loud 🪥🦷

This space started with stories about my boys, Carter and Jaxon, who taught me that 1) Life is hectic, scary, and beautiful. 2) Learning is painful and messy. 3) Love is unconditional. 💕 Now, I share life as a dental hygiene educator—teaching, mentoring, and growing alongside students. Still living it out loud, just in a different chapter. 😊

About Me

My photo
Debra
Baldwin City, Kansas, United States
I'm a dental hygiene faculty member with a passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping students grow into confident, competent clinicians. I teach courses in local anesthesia, pharmacology, and serve as the clinic coordinator at a community college dental hygiene program. My work blends hands-on clinical instruction with classroom teaching and a whole lot of conversations about patient care, professionalism, and practical skill development. This blog was once a space for family memories, but it’s shifting gears. Now, it’s a place for sharing ideas, resources, and reflections geared toward dental hygiene education—whether that’s classroom strategies, clinic coordination, or collaboration with fellow educators. I still wear a lot of hats—mom, wife, teacher—and I love learning alongside others who care about student success in real and honest ways.
