We moved and Jax and I went on a short trip to Denver, CO for some girl time with my bestie! We didn't mind having Jax crash the party, really we couldn't have asked for a better baby, I was amazed he did so well on the car ride. I know Carter would have been too much for us so thank you to Fitz for watching him while Drew was at work! Jaxon has started saying "Dada" and I think I've heard him say "hi" twice now when I get him out of his crib. He's just such a moose though! At his 6 month check up he weighed 22lbs, 1oz and was 28inches long! Drew and I keep joking that Carter is going to be getting Jaxon's hand my downs before too long. Carter's newest funny saying is, "I'm too little." Anytime we ask him to do something unpleasant to him he covers his ears and ignores us or says, "I'm too little." I know this is from me explaining him that Jax can't play with Hot Wheels because he's too little and could choke on them. Friday morning, Carter was being "nice" when he decided to share his poptart with Jaxon! Note to self, no potty breaks, always have one with me, always! Luckily Jax mushed it up everywhere before he ate it so he didn't have any trouble munching away.
Halloween will be here before we know it and Carter wants to be a pirate. I haven't seen any pirate costumes that I like but I did find a great white shark costume for Jax! I'm looking forward to Halloween and really all the holidays. I love Halloween because for me it kicks off the holiday season and right after the holidays we have the boys' birthdays and then the rest of the year is kinda boring!
Here are some funny pics to get you through the week!
There are many wonders in this world, two of my favorite are my little men Carter and Jaxon. It is because of them I have learned some great lessons: 1. Life is hectic, life is scary, and life is beautiful! 2. Learning is painful and messy. 3. Love is unconditional.♥

Wow, August is almost over!
I have no idea where time is going but I'm loving every minute! Nothing much going on here, just going to the park before it gets too hot or after it cools off, Carter is getting super brave. He likes to jump off things "my myself" and says, "To infinity, and beyond!" when he does it. He's becoming a super swimmer and enjoys jumping into Mataw and Pataw's pool "my myself" and he loves it, he says, "kick, kick, kick, paddle, paddle, paddle, swim, swim, swim" while he's swimming. I really wish I took the time to document all this cuteness on film but I'm too busy playing along, kinda make me sad when I look back at this year. I have too few pictures and so many memories that I would LOVE to have on film. Oh well, you can't go back, just forward, so that is my new goal for the rest of the year at least. Take more pictures! I love them and I love seeing everyone elses so snap away, snap away, snap away all!

The Douglas County Fair
The fair is here! Or was, lol. We went on Thursday night and had a great time. Carter loved seeing and feeding the animals and seriously enjoyed watching the tractor pull. Jax slept, because that's what he does, lol. My friend's parents were square dancing that night too, so it was really cool to watch Tim and Ronda boogie down. I took a few pics of Carter on the pony ride, a little boy behind him started to freak out and that caused Carter to have a minor panic attach and have to get down. He doesn't like it when people around him cry, even Jax crying makes him cry, my little sensitive man. We had dinner with Robert and Rita tonight because Bridget is in town for a few days, I love hearing Carter say "Aunt B" its just sooo stinkin' cute! One day Jax is going to be talking too and then I'll miss these snuggly baby days, until then I'm just going to enjoy :)

Babies will sleep anywhere...
So, there were record high temperatures in Eureka Springs this weekend, 104, not including the heat index! It was H O T! Once we got into the lake we didn't want to get out, including Jaxon who actually fell asleep while Drew was holding him in the lake. It was really cute! So, Drew headed to shore and tucked him in the stroller while he was still wet to make sure he stayed nice and cool. About an hour later we all headed out of the water, packed up, and went to the hotel to enjoy the AC and TV. Jason and Karen were so happy and we were glad we were able to join them to celebrate their marriage, woohoo!
The boys did surpisingly well on the road, Jaxon did get me on the way back with a super fun blow out but if that's the worst that happens any day, hey, bring it on! It was early to bed for Jax tonight but Carter wanted to be a night owl, he did eventually head to bed, said goodnight and then I went to check on him and he was in our bed, rearranged all the pillows and of course, left his hat on. What a silly man!

Road Trip!
Wish me luck, we are taking a family road trip! We are leaving bright and early Saturday morning and driving to beautiful Eureka Springs, AR about 5 hours away. We are super excited to celebrate Jason and Karen's wedding and enjoy a fun day at the lake. But its a short trip we are spending the night then heading back on Sunday so that Drew can go with RJ to the Warped Tour. These next few days are really going to test our patience but I'm certain God will watch over and keep us safe and sane!

So much, so fast!
Jaxon finally rolled over for the first time today! ALL the way, lol back to tummy. He usually just hangs out on his side and doesn't actually go over but today, he did it! Then, I sat him up and let go and he sat up by himself for almost a whole minute, yay Jax. :D Drew was so happy for him and its so wonderful to see our baby hitting new milestones. Carter got to play with his cousin Keira today, they had fun and really enjoyed some ice cream nachos after dinner!

Friday, Friday, Friday!
Yes, even though I'll be working tonight and tomorrow night, I'm still excited that its Friday. We have lots planned this weekend and I'm hoping to remember my camera! We went to the pool Wednesday for a play date with Carter's BFF, Soren, and I totally forgot the camera, sometimes I wonder if I'll ever recover from my baby brain!
Timr and J's tomorrow for dinner with their beautiful girls and Sunday to my parents for a fish fry! YUM! Happy Friday to all, have a wonderful weekend.

Short and sweet
Carter was laying down to take a nap and I sneezed, he yelled, "Bless you, Momma!" Thank you Carter and many blessings to all!
On a side note, I love working weekend overnights, last night I hung out with my bestie, watched The Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch, and Lady and the Tramp. Seriously, they pay me to do this??

How life has changed since my last post! Carter is 2 1/2 and is a big brother! Jaxon Drew was born 02/24/2010 at a whoppin 8lbs 1oz and 20 in, by 4 months he is 18lbs 8oz and 25 in, OMG. I have been inspired and have committed to updating at least once a week but I'm hoping for more. Here are a few pics of my handsome men!
