There are many wonders in this world, two of my favorite are my little men Carter and Jaxon. It is because of them I have learned some great lessons: 1. Life is hectic, life is scary, and life is beautiful! 2. Learning is painful and messy. 3. Love is unconditional.♥

I am seriously annoyed right now. There was a "nurse-in" held at Target stores today where women showed up and breast fed their babies. Absolutely, go ahead, feed your beautiful babies!! I'm sickened by the need for such protests. A woman was asked to either stop breastfeeding her baby or go do it in the bathroom at a Target in Texas last week or they would call the police; despite her being fully covered. Target's policy is that women can freely breastfeed in their store, so what gives? What is wrong with feeding your baby in public? I just don't understand this persecution of boobies! Everybody loves them. Everybody wants to save them, but nobody wants babies to eat??? And if e employees are going to suggest using a bathroom (puke) then they need to provide a lounge area, kept clean and tidy, with couches, rockers, pillows, aroma therapy, soothing music, a waterfall... And a play area for your older children...everything you might like if you CHOOSE to take a time out and breastfeed in private. Get over it America people have to eat to live, even the smallest people.

What?!?
I am so excited for Christmas this year! We have picked out some pretty awesome gifts for the boys and our family, I cant wait to see them open up the gifts. The gif I got for Drew is pretty sweet and I think he'll be surprised. Mostly I'm happy for the reason of the season, and hearing a three year old say Happy Birthday Jesus, is just hilarious!
There is a bit of ugly this season. Saturday we had some mail stolen, and which I cant prove it was them, I'd like to kick the neighbor kids in the teeth! I'm about 99.9999% they were hoping to find some money in the cards and once they learned they were actually just warm holiday greetings, they just crumpled the cards and threw them in the street. I know some people are desperate but I don't believe for one second thats what happened here. So I'll be policing the mail boxes around my house, it's the least I can do :)

New hilarious blog
A friend of mine on FB linked this blog post about the elf on a shelf over achievers. I almost peed my pants reading it! This gal, Jen, has some pretty great rants and makes me laugh, she is one I will continue to follow!

Give other moms a break -- today is ’No Judgment Day’
Give other moms a break -- today is ’No Judgment Day’
I LOVE this idea! I know I carry around a great amount of mommy guilt and feel the need to justify every parenting choice I made. I also know I'm guilty of judging others, so today, I will NOT give in to that little nag in my head. Also please don't judge me because I only bathe my kids once or twice a week. :)

Hectic week TGTF(thank goodness tomorrow's Friday)
Day 28 I'm thankful for quiet time. I love this time every afternoon that I get to regroup and prepare for the "second shift" of my day. Somedays thus doesn't happen as Carter doesn't nap any more but usually he'll chill and wat h a movie while Jax naps. Sometimes I even crawl into bed and take a nap myself! Oh how I love quiet time!
Day 29 I'm thankful for lunch dates with friends. Impromptu or scheduled, an afternoon of fun with a friend is always something to be cherished.
Day 30 I'm thankful for my washer and dryer! Carter is having some setbacks and while that's very frustrating, I'm so glad I don't have to haul the dirties to a laundry mat. So today thank you God, Robert and Rita, and Mom and Dad for our washer and dryer!

December is here! Had a wonderful day, volunteered in Beanie's class, saw Matt and Amy, hung out with my Lynly, got to have baby Ella for a few hours, and ordered pizza for dinner, yum! It really is the small things in life that make me happy. Carter sang out during class, Ms. Kathy and Mrs. Donna were impressed.

Catching up
The past few days have been a whirlwind and I have some days to catch up on!
Day 25, thankful for my scentsy warmers, new favorite scent is black raspberry vanilla, it is the ONLY thing I could find to get the funky broccoli smell out of my house after I made broccoli casserole. Which turned out wonderful and was a huge hit at my parents house for our dinner Friday night.Day 26
I'm thankful for my home. Its small and needs updating but its ours - I just love it, its cozy and just feels like home. 3 bedrooms, one bath, full basement aka "the man cave." I honestly think that a lot of new builds are cold and unwelcoming and everyone is welcome in our home :) One of my favorite things to do is sit on the porch swing while the boys run wild in the yard and play. Jaxon better watch out! (these were taken on an unseasonably warm day a few weeks ago, hence the shorts)
and....
Day 27
I'm thankful to have health insurance! Just took the boys for cleanings/check ups an the dentist, no copay, no coinsurace, hooray for that. Got flu shots and check ups for us at the doctor this season, just had to pay office visit copays again, so thankful for that. I think health insurance is taken for granted by a lot of people but working at LMH for the past 10+ years and volunteering for Health Care Access really makes me stop and say "thank you" any time I use my insurance. I am worried about what is going to happen as we move toward a socialized medicine type of policy but for now, I'm a happy girl.

Day 23
Thank you God for this day. Pretty much doesn't get better than that! I had a wonderful day, forgot to take back the library books but even that's okay, just renew them online :) Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I'm so excited to kick off the "holiday season." The rest of this week is about family but next week, Christmas decorating is happening!

Day 21
Today I am thankful for Yo Gabba Gabba. Truly a loved show in my household and it's inspired Jaxon to speak more. Carter and Jax really do learn about friendship and how to do some kick booty dance moves! Not to mention the 25 minutes of peace because this is one show they will actually watch.

Day 20
Today I am thankful for the kindness of strangers. Shadow got out this week and the nice lady who found her actually took the time to call the vet's office on her tag to find out where she lives and brought her home to us! Most people would have either taken her to the pound or called animal control, hooray for saving a $100+ fine this time of year. :)
Day 19
Today I am thankful for my siblings. I love them all, they are each different and bring different things to my life. Kimberly, my older sister, loves that I say that (NOT!) and keeps me guessing, what on earth is she going to do next?!? Rachel, my younger sister, is a sensitive girl who just likes to have fun and honestly who doesn't like being around people like that? R.J. my one and only brother, I love him and he is irreplaceable! At fifteen, he's at a really fun age and our relation ship is moving from older sister/protector to friend. I'm blessed to have each in my life!

Day 18
Today I'm struggling. There has been too much family drama going on lately and I'm just about ready to delete my FB account!!!! I'm thankful for the Internet and social media but today I'm ready to just go back to 1990, but that will just bring jr high/middle school drama back, lol. Honestly, today I am thankful for my thick skin, I don't let the bitches get me down! Jax was cracking me up with his stickers today - he's so cool.

I do a load a day and still have dishes left to hand wash, the dishwasher saves me so much time and every and keeps my hands looking good ;) lol it's hot enough to sterilize too so if we've been suck I know those germs are going buh-bye. Day 13
Mindy Transmeier Neis! Thank you so much for being my friend the last 15 years and for helping me out this morning! We got to church and Carter lost his breakfast at the threshold, I was supposed to work in the Pre-K and I panicked for a second, but lots of people stepped up to help and Mindy covered my nursery duty! Love you girl, thanks<3

Day 9
Today I'm remembering my beautiful Nanny. She went to be with God Nov. 7, 2005 and sometimes it feels like yesterday. I am so thankful to have gotten to know this wonderful, beautiful woman who was filled with love and joy! She loved her family so much and was very proud of her girls and ALL her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Even though my boys never met her on Earth, I know she hand picked these guys for me and I thank her. I miss our time together and I really miss your apple cake! I love you and I know you are shaking a leg and humming a tune right now.

Day 8
Doo doo doo doo....and today I'm thankful for my husband. Drew is my rock, he's and awesome father and loving hubby. He is loyal and honest and loves fiercely, I know if I can count on anyone, its him, he will never let me down and believe me, I've tested him! Thanks husband for all you do, working so hard, allowing me to be home with our boys most of the time, taking care of the yard and cars, doing your own laundry, putting the toilet seat down, etc...I could go on and on. :)

Day 7
My beautiful, beautiful, beautiful boy, Jaxon Drew! He is my baby, my bubba bear and our family couldn't be without him. He has been the polar opposite from Carter since pregnancy but I wouldn't change him for anything. I thank God every day for giving me two healthy baby boys but today is Jax's day! No pictures please!! Lol

Day 5
Today is November 5th and I'm thankful for peanut butter! Lol it's a staple and my go to when I just can't think of anything else to make for lunch. It's one of Carter's, "best lunch ever!" it's not surprising that after I had him all I wanted to eat was peanut butter and plain M&M's. We LOVE peanut butter!

Day 4Today I am thankful for my car. It does so much more than get me from point A to point B. Carter and I have some pretty wonderful conversations in the car and Jax cracks up when I'm singing along to the radio. I remember when we bought the Tribute; it was the first car we ever bought together and we had just purchased our "family" car. I'm so happy to say we have filled it with love.
