We are almost two months into 2013 and its been a great year so far! :) Carter turned the big 5 in January and Jax will be 3 on Sunday. Its a new chapter as we say goodbye to infants and toddlers and hello to school age and preschool!

Today we added a new member to our family, Bristol. She is an adorable and loving dachshund and I feel like she completes our family. Carter is learning all he can about taking care of pets and was excited to call Granny on her birthday (today) and tell her about his puppy. Jax just thinks she is funny and plays on the floor by her but not with her, yet. He also seems to be jealous that Mommy is playing with Bristol and will insist on sitting in my lap even though I'm on the floor trying to play!

Winter storm "Q" came through and dropped about a foot of snow on us and we may get more on Monday. I love watching the snow and was so thankful that we could stay inside and watch. Once it slowed down the boys and I went out and played. We had a snowball fight, made snow angels, and found our big bowl full of snow to make snow cream. Once Jax had enough we came inside for hot chocolate and snow cream! It was chocolate too. Later when Drew got home and was clearing the drive, Carter went out and made a snow slide and went sledding down it for a bit. He was the statue on top of the snow mountain, too much fun!
